More than PLN 2.3 million for Elk for the reconstruction of the former boxing hall

City Ełk has raised over PLN 2.3 million in funding from the European Union for renovation and renovation of the historic former sports hall at ul. Army National. As expected, it will be multifunctional – the place of organisation of social, cultural, sporting and meetings of young people and seniors. The building will be built m.in. main room with conference rooms on the mezzanine. A new façade appears, roofing and windows and doors. The planned completion is end of 2021.

The modernisation will begin once a tender is decided to select the contractor for the investment.

In the building will create a main hall with a stage and a mezzanine with an additional room. The scope of work also includes: the creation of office rooms, toilets, storage, the basement of the scene and a new entrance from the reduced floor level, enabling communication between the basement, exhibition hall and stage.

Works will also include the renovation of the façade and the cleaning and restoration of existing historic walls, replacement of roof plating, replacement of window and door joinery, setting the benches in front of the building, removal of the paving stones surrounding the building and its replacement into cubes granite with lighting embedded in the pavement exhibiting the façade.

Value the received grant is more than PLN 2.3 million (85% of the more than 2 million 114 000 pln, and with state budget of almost 235 000 $1.00. The grant comes from European Regional Development Fund under the Regional Operational Programme of the Warmia and Mazury Voivodeship for the period 2014 – 2020.
