WORKATION: strategy, cooperation, new brand
Last Friday (04 April) the first online meeting of the WORKATION project partners took place. Its participants talked about combining remote work with leisure in two partner cities, Ełk and Birštonas.
During the meeting, the initial assumptions of the promotional strategy were discussed and the activities that will be implemented jointly by both partners were planned. The project is expected to result in a coherent strategy and a recognizable tourist brand, promoting Workation as a new way of traveling and working.
The project implemented by the Municipality of the City of Ełk entitled "WORKATION as a cross-border tourism destination" received funding as part of the partnership cooperation between Poland and Lithuania for the development of sustainable ecological tourism in the cross-border area. The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund under the "European Territorial Cooperation for 2021-2027" objective of the Cross-border Cooperation Programme INTERREG VI-A Lithuania – Poland 2021-2027.
