Another PLN 1.2 million for Ełk for street renovation

In Ełk Today (26 July) a meeting was held in the town hall, which was attended by m.in. Voivode of Warmia and Mazury Artur Chojecki and President of Ełk Tomasz Andrukiewicz. Also present were: Wojciech Kossakowski and Starosta Ełk Marek Chojnowski. During the meeting, the voivode handed over to the president of the city, a promise confirming the award co-financing from the Government Road Development Fund in the amount of PLN 1,229,492.60 for the renovation of Augustowska and Kraszewskiego streets and Śląska in the Zatorze housing estate in Ełk. On Roads in rural communes of the Ełk poviat were granted PLN 1.3 million.

When it comes to local governments, the greatest needs are municipal roads and county. But it's good, because good renovated roads are a recipe for safety, investments and a better quality of life for residents who can safely after these roads to move on going to work, school or to the doctor (...) – said the Voivode of Warmia and Mazury Artur Chojecki.

I am very happy that our city managed to raise 1 million 200 thousand zlotys from the Government Road Development Fund. This is money for renovations, expenses current, i.e. the type of expenditure for which funds are often lacking in budgets (...) We are very keen on the safety of users of these roads and pavements. Scope renovation of streets in the Zatorze housing estate:

hive. Augustowska - milling the asphalt layer and restoring a new one, Renovation of the pavement on both sides of the road, replacement with new elements (renovation on length 397 m)

hive. Kraszewskiego - milling of the asphalt layer and reconstruction of a new one (renovation over a length of 210 m)

hive. Śląska - milling the asphalt layer and restoring a new one, Renovation of the sidewalk on the left side of the road, replacement with new elements (renovation on the length 388 m)

The City of Ełk submitted the project "Surface renovation roadways, sidewalks and exits of Augustowska, Kraszewskiego and Śląska streets in Ełk" to the Government Road Development Fund in January this year.

Value of the entire investment: PLN 1,756,418

Value of co-financing from the Government Road Development Fund: PLN1,229,492.60

Own contribution of the city: 526 925, 40 zł

The procedure is now underway preparation of the co-financing agreement. The implementation of the investment will be possible after tender. The investment is expected to start later this year. If it will be possible to select the contractor efficiently, the work should be completed April next year.
