New section of Via Baltica for the benefit of Elk residents
Openly a 20-kilometer section of the Via Baltica express dog, i.e. the Wysokie – Raczki junction, this is good news for all Ełczans and residents of the region. Completed just a section with a two-lane cross-section in each direction will shorten the travel time to Suwałki and Lithuania.
In
the meeting and commissioning of the Via Baltica section was attended by m.in parliamentarians from Ełk and the region, the Warmian-Masurian Voivode, the President of Ełk and the contractors of the investment.
- Here's the one investment together with parliamentarians and other local governments from the EGO subregion (Ełk, Gołdap, Olecko) and Podlaskie Voivodeship have been striving since 2007. At that time, we focused on determining the course of the express route No. 61 Via Baltica from Warsaw via Łomża, Ełk, Suwałki. And it worked.
